Niet alleen wij doen onderzoek naar de beste danceplaten van 2008, ook de mannen bij XLR8R weten hoe je een jaar afsluit. Uit de bijna oneindige stroom singles die de website gratis aanbiedt, inventariseerde de redactie welke 50 in 2008 het meest gedownload en best gewaardeerd werden.

My favorite mp3 of the year (not on the original download list) is an obscure one from this group, Bossasaurus. The song is called “The Wait Is Over”. This group treads the line between great samplers such as DJ Shadow and more synth-based disco-funk like Justice. The song evolves dramatically from beginning to end, going from upbeat to epic to aggressive in a way I have never heard before. While I agree all of the songs on this list are dope, none of the above are as intricate or fresh as this Bossasaurus joint. Ja en mijn favoriete MP3 van het jaar is ook een geweldig fris nummer van mezelf, waarvoor ik van mezelf toestemming heb om hem te promoten… ;)

Zitten toffe tracks tussen inderdaad. XLR8R zit standaard tussen mijn dagelijkse stapel leesvoer.
